Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is an Australian based leader with a major focus on the production and exploration of copper. With a presence across the nation their expanding NT QLD operations calls for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team.

Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will provide geotechnical service and support to the underground mine. Responsibilities will include maintaining geotechnical databases, developing ground support quality assurance programs, conducting regular audits and reports and designing key mine planning projects.
 
To be considered for this position you will ideally hold 3-5 years in underground, hardrock mining, preferably in a geotechnical role combined with qualifications in Mine Engineering majoring in either Geotechnical or Geo-mechanical Engineering.
 
Demonstrated experience in developing new and effective Geotechnical risk management processes and procedures will be highly advantageous.
 
Working an 8/6 roster with FIFO offered from Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville you will enjoy the diversity and challenges this role has to offer.
