Maintenance Manager

The opportunity is to work at an operating Biomass Power Plant in South East Queensland.  The company own a 30 MW vibrating grate boiler that is fuelled by Bagasse, Council Green Waste and Construction and Demolition Waste.  The plant is also connected to a sugar mill that buys steam and electricity from the power plant, the plant also sells electricity to the grid.
 
The successful candidate will be appointed as Maintenance Manager and will be in charge of scheduling the maintenance down times for the plant and ensuring its spares and consumables are adequate.  Along with this they will be managing a team consisting of a Boilermaker, Fitter and electrician; the team will assist with all duties.
 
Required Experience

  • Trade qualified (Fitter, Boilermaker, Electrician....)
  • At least 5 years supervisory/managerial experience
  • Scheduling experience
  • Computer based maintenance program knowledge and experience
  • Must be ambitious and enthusiastic
 
Beneficial Experience

  • Experience operating a Biomass plant, coal fire power plant or sugar mill
