Job Description
Reporting to the Underground Mining Manager, this position will be responsible for;
Creation and implementation of production plans and reports
Drill & blast design
Assisting in identification and analysis of best extraction methods and sequences to ensure production optimisation
Short term mine plans and schedules
Design and monitoring of ventilation systems
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this underground Mining Engineer role, you will ideally;
Have tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
Possess 2-3 years experience in underground hard rock mining environments
Possess significant experience in drill & blast design
Have a sound knowledge of mine software packages such as Surpac
