Technical Accounts Manager

Prospective Employer(Company) is a leader in testing and monitoring major pumping systems, provides its clients with recommendations on improvements and manages remedial projects. It has developed its own unique analytical software and its high level of expertise is widely recognised. Customers are major corporates, particularly in the mining industry, both in underground & process operations

Minimum Requirements

• Work both alone and in conjunction with the Company team
• Show initiative, while accepting high level direction
• Maintain effective verbal and written communications both with the Company and its clients
• Delegate both up and down the management structure as appropriate  Qualifications and experience:  Relevant technical qualification
• At least 15 years industrial experience, including some degree of operational management or involvement with this level of customer
• Mining experience and exposure to major pumping systems would be an advantage

Job Specification

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Manage major existing projects on a detailed, day-to-day level and establish working relationships with client staff at all levels of seniority to ensure that the customer achieves maximum benefit from the services provided by the Company and that these benefits are recorded and recognised
• Identify and justify possible improvements to the  service offerings
• Identify opportunities to expand the service into new areas of the clients’ operations
• Manage junior technical staff who are involved in his projects
• Provide input and technical support to the Company’s marketing endeavours
• Use his industry contacts to identify new business opportunities for the Company

Remuneration

• R450 p.a CTC
