About the role:
Currently experiencing significant growth, there is a requirement for a Senior Remediation Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Group Services Manager you will provide and manage professional consulting services on a range of contaminated land projects for a diverse range of clients.
Demonstrated project management experience for a range of project sizes; encompassing budgetary management and preparation of proposals of tenders
Extensive knowledge of relevant NSW regulatory requirements and National guidelines
Strong report writing and review of associated documentation
Proficiency in evaluation, design, implementation of a range of soil and groundwater remediation technologies
Experience in mentoring junior staff
Professionally qualified with a Bachelor or Masters degree in Geology, Environmental/Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
6 - 8 years experience in environmental consulting, contaminated land assessment and remediation, and technical expertise in site investigation design.
Demonstrated expertise with a range of remediation technologies, including MPE, chemical injection, barrier walls, air sparge/soil vapour extraction, pump and treat.
Knowledge of contaminated land project life cycles from initial assessment to final site close out.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
Ability to generate business through industry contacts
Solid experience in conducting OHS and ecological risk assessments in accordance with NEPM and enHealth guidelines
