Description and Desired Qualifications
- Help save and protect the one and only Earth we have. Our Environmental Engineer jobs are your opportunity to help restore environmentally impaired sites for economic use. Each day, you will support site characterization / remediation projects, including hydrogeologic data collection and interpretation; remedial investigations; feasibility study analysis; and design, construction, and operation of remediation systems. You should be a self-motivated, team-focused individual with a BS in Engineering (MS preferred) and a successful 3-6 year track record in environmental consulting, including developing technical scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and work changes and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental engineer job.
Our Environmental Engineers:
- Manage tasks for medium to large projects and/or assist senior engineers on large, complex projects
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques and procedures for engineering analysis
- Support industrial clients to meet project goals and objectives
- Oversee and develop a project team to prepare technical reports for clients, state agencies, or other stakeholders and interface with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients
- Conduct site testing, design/optimize systems, evaluate viable remedial alternatives, and prepare detailed cost estimates
- Lead and support a personal and corporate dedication to health, safety, environment, and quality
- Oversee staff conducting field investigations (i.e., drilling, sampling and routine testing) and subcontractors
- Complete tasks within schedule and budget with multi-discipline teams
- Maintain license as an Engineering In Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)
- Position consists of approximately 35% field work/traveling and 65% office. [Company] will not sponsor an employment visa (e.g. H-1B visa, etc.) to fill this position.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in civil, environmental, chemical, or geological engineering.
- EIT or PE License
- 3 years environmental engineering experience
- Requires general knowledge of site remediation and federal and state regulations including CERCLA and RCRA
- Knowledge and experience with various media (soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water) investigations, assessments and remediation technologies.
- Experience implementing groundwater and soil remediation technologies.
- HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain
- Must be physically capable of performing field work including repetitively lifting 50 lbs. safely and working in varying field conditions.
