Environmental Construction Project Manager

Description and Desired Qualifications

Our Environmental Construction Project Manager jobs provide you with an opportunity to manage large projects for our construction group's environmental services department. Each day, you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you develop and profitably execute environmental/remediation construction and design/construct projects as part of the Federal Sector's management team. You should be a self-motivated, strong negotiator with 15 years’ experience in field construction, including managing environmental remediation projects; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each environmental construction project management job.

Our Environmental Construction Project Managers:

• Manage remediation projects involving design, permitting, construction, and O&M of remediation systems under a fixed price contracts.
• Provide business development leadership and support of major remedial construction proposals, mainly performance based
• As the project manager, lead risk management planning for high risk construction projects and ensure the appropriate execution of projects in a risk appropriate manner.
• Manage and lead small and medium-sized teams involving subcontractors.
• Plan, staff, schedule, budget, and ensure technical and document quality of work products, ensure safety of staff, and coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff.
• Have day-to-day interaction with our clients and regulators, and present information and frequently participate at monthly meetings.
• Establish contacts within and knowledge of the entire network of CH2M HILL companies
• Utilizes their understanding of the administrative, contractual, financial and business aspects of construction operations Embrace, lead, and support health and safety planning and practices.

• Utilize their business development experience interacting with clients, preparing proposals, and participating in presentations. Have experience pricing and base-lining schedules.

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• BS degree in either Engineering/Construction Management or related environmental fields, or an additional 4 years of experience.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in design/build projects and recently U.S Government performance based remediation projects.
• Experience in managing a range of projects from small service-type remediation projects to large technically complex multi-million dollar projects, performance-based contracts with the U.S. Government.
