Environmental Health & Safety Management Consultant – North America
Description and Desired Qualifications
- Provide leadership and market knowledge and expertise as an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Management Consultant to grow our EHS auditing, compliance and consulting business. Our EHS Management Consultant career path is responsible to advise and provide EHS services to our Commercial clients as part of a team of North America and International EHS Management Consultants. Each day, you will play a major client-facing role to develop and implement a strategy to profitably grow the EHS strategic management consulting business. You should be a self-motivated program development leader with key clients and major wins globally; have excellent written, listening and oral communication skills; and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with every project or program.
Our EHS Management Consultants:
- Are recognized within the energy, manufacturing, chemical and/or natural resource based business sectors and the general environmental industry as iconic, thought leaders, strategic thinkers and solutions providers.
- Have established professional networks with EHS executives within the top 100 energy, manufacturing, chemical and natural resource based companies in North America.
- Serve as technical consultants and senior reviewers for a variety of EHS compliance issues that our Commercial clients, including air, water , wastewater, EMS, EMIS, GHG, waste management, waste disposal, health and safety, SPCC, and permitting.
- Utilize your extensive skills in the field of EHS management consulting, to serve as a coach and mentor for junior staff.
- Role requires up to 50% travel.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management consulting with a minimum of at least the last 5 years in a leadership position externally focused in growing the EHS business.
- Able to demonstrate a fluent knowledge and understanding of the EHS drivers and challenges companies are facing in today's global economy.
- Able to demonstrate experience in the identification, development and implementation of strategic solutions to customers EHS challenges which improved their corporate sustainability, improved operational performance, improved corporate consistency, reduced liability, mitigated risk and enhance business profitability.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to develop and lead pursuit strategies and procurements for new business opportunities.
- Able to demonstrate proven leadership qualities including self-directing work approach, high energy, and ability to function effectively in large complex organizations.
- Able to demonstrate a strong track record of contribution to the financial growth and profitability of an EHS consulting organization, to include strong marketing skills which will include the ability to attract talent to join [Company] and grow our EHS business.
- Able to demonstrate a desire to market effectively both new and existing clients, and be able to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, subcontractors and peers

Basic Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Engineering or Sciences, including but not limited to Chemical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
- Role requires up to 50% travel.

Preferred Qualifications
- 20 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management consulting work.
- Publication and presentation experience is highly desirable.
