Sales Manager-Mining

Products and services from Clariant Mining Services provide reliable explosive emulsions at the blasting site, improve the comminution and beneficiation of a wide range of ores, control dust at mine sites, and improve the stability and quality of fertilizers.
• Clariant is currently seeking a Sales Manager-Mining to work virtually. This position will be responsible for growing the sales base for froth flotation reagents in the Mining industry in North America.

Position Description

• Conduct consultative sales calls at potential and existing mining customers in the United States and Canada
• Grow relationships with third-party engineering houses and labs for mining project
• Keep up to date on new mine and expansion activities
• Supervise industrial trials and management reviews
• Prepare reports and market studies

Position Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to the mining industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, work under pressure, make decisions and take action
• Flexible and team oriented
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurially minded
• Willing to travel more than 50% of the time
