Senior Project Planner

Client require the services of a Senior Project Planner with relevant experience

Minimum Requirements

• Certificate in any Engineering Discipline
• Proficient in computer planning software package. (MS Projects)
• Suitable experience as a planner on major projects.
• Able to communicate with others including clients.
• Proven ability on Mining Projects
• Must have contactable references

Job Specification

• Liaise with the client on programming requirements and actual programme.
• Responsible for the overall planning of the works and material to meet the client’s requirements.
• Maintaining and updating the weekly/monthly programme and submitting to the client.
• Maintain weekly look-ahead programmes and record potential problems.
• Liaise with client on the programme and integrating with the client’s master programme.
• Monitoring all programmes and ensures that correct revision register is maintained. 
• Ensure files are maintained for programme revision
• Set up and maintain an early warning system (look ahead programme) for the procurement of material or withdrawal from stores of free issue material.
• Report to the responsible Manager any area of delay that could affect the project programme. 
• Ensure that weekly efficiency reports are produced and maintained. 
• Monitor efficiency and advise Supervisors of shortcomings.
• Ensure that weekly efficiency reports are produced and maintained.

• Record deviations from contract plan and advise Project Manager of same.
