Reporting to the Mineral Resources Manager. The successful applicant
will join a multi-disciplinary team with a diversity of objectives, ranging
from deposit identification, exploration, technical and economic evaluation,
mine and quarry planning, health and safety and due diligence assessments. The
remit of the team is to:
- Ensure the continuity of mineral supplies (natural and synthetic
gypsums, as well as other minor minerals such as perlite, vermiculite and
quality limestone).
- Evaluate and secure future gypsum reserves.
- Develop long-term strategic supply opportunities.
- Promote best practice principles at operating mines and quarries.
Personal Requirements:
- A good degree in an earth science related subject (mining, quarrying)
and at least 5 years of operational experience with responsibility for
mine/quarry operations.
- Proven track record of health and safety management in the extractive
industries.
- The confidence and ability to work independently, with self-starter
characteristics and to communicate effectively within different cultural
environments is essential.
- Language skills – fluency in English essential and a good working
knowledge of a second language is highly desirable.
- The role offers the opportunity to work in many areas of the world and
applicants must have a willingness to undertake world wide travel.
- You should be EU based and be entitled to work in the EU
