Principal Geotechnical Engineer



  • A graduate in Civil Engineering or Geology would be ideal
  • A post graduate qualification in Geotechnical Engineering / Engineering Geology is desired also
  • You will be preferably Chartered, or working towards Chartered status
  • Experience of business development will be advantageous together with excellent communication and client facing skills
  • You will also be expected to manage and mentor junior staff in all aspects of geotechnical data collection and interpretation.

 

The department undertakes a wide range of site investigations and geoenvironmental interpretative reporting for a wide variety of clients including major house builders and commercial developers.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:-

 

  • Fee proposals and scope of works
  • Intrusive investigation techniques and supervision
  • Geotechnical interpretive reporting - foundation solutions with design criteria
  • Earthworks
  • Experience in slope stability modelling and interpretation would also be desirable.
