Site Environment Manager
|
· $130k - $140k + Car + Accommodation + Relocation
· Mining Experience a Must - Coal or Metalliferous
· $30 billion expansion in Australia - solely in the environmental area
Working for a significant coal mine company in the [Location] you will ensure the development and maintenance of environmental systems across the site and meet environmental accountabilities across the board.
If you are:
· Degree qualified in Environmental Science or related
· Possess a minimum of 5-8 years in a similar position or one level down within the mining industry (metalliferous/coal acceptable) in Qld
· Have experience working under, and a strong working knowledge of, Qld legislation
· ISO14001 compliance/obligations familiarity
· Experience leading others and driving initiatives
· Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

Initially forming a team of 3 on site that will consist of the Senior Environmental Advisor, the Environmental Advisor and yourself as the Superintendent you will report to the Site Services Manager and carry out a range of tasks, namely:
· Ensure accountability and responsibility for the management of environment and community issues
· Participate in environmental impact assessments and applications for new environmental authorities as required
· Assist in developing a site closure plan
· Provide overal strategic direction including medium to long term environmental plans regarding environmental impacts and control strategies
· Oversee the maintenance and implementation of the Total Waste Management Contract
· Proactive environmental and community management which minimises risks and maximises opportunities
