We are currently partnered with one of the worlds largest Gold producers, who own and operate multiple mine sites over the globe. With operations spanning across multiple continents and recent partnering with another world-class mining organisation, our client is on the verge of major success.
With current exciting exploration projects and sites reaching feasibility and production stages, we are seeking a Group Environmental Manager to develop the environmental initiatives across multiple international sites.
Being based in [Location] with much travel anticipated to the South East Asian region, your primary focus will be to develop Environmental Management Plans to comply with international legislations and standards. You will also monitor the existing procedures and systems in place and measure their effectiveness against the required outcomes of the new projects.
You will also establish these systems and procedures at the site level and advise the company on methods to correctly implement the Management Plan. The companys management will look to you for solutions pertaining to the ramifications of their operations to the environment and international laws and regulations relative to the mining industry.
You will need:
· Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or a similar field
· Qualifications in management
· A strong understanding of ISO 14001 accreditation
Extensive experience in the Mining and Resources industry in a senior environmental position
