Senior Metallurgical Engineer

Major responsibilities include providing materials application
engineering, materials problem solving, consultation/interface with various
Truck Group functions and suppliers, materials parts performance analysis, and
development & update of Truck Materials and Corporate Materials
Specifications. Additional responsibilities include identification and
implementation of new materials technology to gain competitive advantage in
performance and/or cost.
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical
Engineering, Materials Engineering or Materials Science
- At least 5 years experience in Metallic
Materials Engineering support to Design Engineering & Product
Reliability
- Positive Attitude, Ethics, and
International Values which support our company's values, and a healthy, high
performance culture
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree (MS Metallurgy or
Engineering) or Professional Engineer registration
- Broad application based experience in
metallic materials/processes used in Truck/Automotive Industry
- Failure Analysis experience,
particularly in support of product integrity and litigation defense
- Knowledge of Corrosion Problem Analysis
and Corrosion Prevention Methods
- Knowledge of welding technology
- Excellent verbal and written
communication skills
- Technical papers published
- Good organizational and time management
skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Project management experience
