Environmental Engineer / Environmental Scientist

This position will be located in our Salt Lake City, Utah, office. Relocation options are available for the right candidate

  • Work will include permitting, site investigations and remediation projects
  • Projects may include soil and ground water sampling, compliance such as SPCC Plans, environmental and due diligence audits, monitoring, Phase I and Phase II EA and EIS; gas and oil projects; etc
  • Mid - Level personnel will help coordinate and conduct site investigative field and office work, will prepare and/or review regulatory permit applications and associated environmental reports.
  • Some field-related work in Utah and neighboring states will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Five years experience in oil and gas field operations, water (storm water and groundwater), air (NSR, NSPS, Title V, RACT), solid waste management (RCRA), and community right to know regulations.
  • Five years experience in environmental management systems including air quality (CAAA), water quality (CWA), remediation (CERCLA), cultural resources, endangered species, and community right-to-know (SARA), and NEPA
  • Five years experience with natural gas and oil exploration, pipelines permitting, storage, and inspections (APD experience and NPDES experience highly preferred)
  • Five years experience in Environmental Consulting for Oil and Gas companies strongly preferred
  • BS in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, or other Environmental or Engineering related field is preferred (MS highly preferred)
  • HAZWOPER/MSHA training preferred - (JBR will renew any expired training)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communications skills are essential
  • Demonstrated serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals or deadlines; must be detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize multiple resources and quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to capture and interpret information
