Mechanical Drafter

 Timberock is a small manufacturer located in Elliot Lake, mid point between Sudbury and Sault St. Marie Ontario.  Our company designs and manufactures our own equipment for the mining industry. Our customer base covers Canada, U.S. and Mexico. (www.timberockinternational.com).  We have been in business for over 20 years.  The company has 22 employees, with one design person who has been with us for about 10 years. We use SolidWorks for our design and Esprit for our cnc programming.  The person we are looking for will work with our design person in designing products and producing the programs for our cnc lathes and cnc mills. Some training will be offered.

Elliot Lake (http://www.cityofelliotlake.com) is a beautifully place to live. Although it is recognized as a retirement community,  it is a great place if you love the outdoors for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling,  ATV, boating, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing.  In 2006 the City completed the construction of an 18-hole golf course.  Over the last five years the provincial government has given land to the city to develop 500 cottage lots on some of the surrounding lakes.

Elliot Lake is a great place to raise children with excellent schools and clubs.  Housing is very reasonable.

Duties:

• Prepares mechanical sketches and drawings by rendering sectional, auxiliary, and multiviews, sub-assemblies, pictorials, dimensions, and developments; producing two- and three-dimensional orthographic projections using computer aided design (CAD) and pictorial techniques; producing three-dimensional (3-D) models including 3-D and spherical coordinates.
• Prepares supporting information by developing bills of materials; standard parts, and fasteners.
• Modifies drawings by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changes.
• Perform quality control and product testing.
• CNC programming

• Ability to use SolidWorks design software,  Design Skills, Conceptual Skills, Functional and Technical Skills, Thoroughness, Analyzing Information
