A staff vacancy exists within the Zinc Lead Maintenance & Support Department for a Mechanical / Structural Draftsperson.
Reporting to the Senior Draftsperson, the successful applicant will be part of a diverse engineering department made up of approximately 20 engineers of various disciplines.
This opportunity will provide the scope for the right person to develop their career.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Providing drafting support to the engineering team that provide technical support and project management skills for the execution of projects ranging from $10M to $20M for the Zinc operations
· Designing and executing timely solutions to plant issues in both fixed and mobile plant
The ideal applicant should possess:
· Preferably a Mechanical/Structural Engineering qualification such as an Associate Degree in Engineering or similar
· Experience in Autocad and Solidworks drafting packages
· A proven track record of delivering required results on time and within budget
· A demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills
· The skills to make informed decisions and accept accountability for them
· A strong commitment to Safety and a demonstrated Safety awareness
· Relevant industry experience with demonstrated project management skills
Experience in the mining industry is desirable, however relevant experience in heavy industry will be considered.
Electrical drafting exposure would be an added advantage.
