Area HSE Advisor - Iron Ore Project

Duration - Required for Project duration until 2012

Job Description

• As a member of the Project HSE team, provide Health, Safety and Environmental support and expertise to the Functional and Customer Support Groups within the Project team of the Company.
• Maintain corporate compliance with all legislation regarding Health Safety and the Environment.
• Ensure procedures are in place to allow legislation compliance.
• Develop, maintain and implement company safety performance KPIs and related improvement programs
• Provide training for company personnel in aspects of Health Safety and the Environment.
• Provide assistance in Risk Assessments, Management of Change.
• Monitor and review OMNISAFE to ensure all accidents and incidents are correctly reported, assist in investigations, pursue close out of actions and provide statistics.
• Ensure compliance with OneWay management system
• Participate in HSE Audits as required.
• Develop and maintain HSE Threats and Opportunities process for Project and Corporate Groups as required.

Qualifications:

• Membership of IOSH Required
• NEBOSH Diploma
• Ability to interpret legislation, and to apply logically.
• Interpersonal skills

• Communication skills, oral and written
• Presentation skills
• PC skills
• MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency

Any Special Requirements:

• Russian/Ukrainian Speaking is highly desirable
