Engineering Technician

• This is a full-time position located in our Calgary office within the Medicine Hat Area Team of Enerplus’ Southern Business Unit.

• Research and prepare well histories, downhole diagrams and welldata sheets for programs
• preparation of maps, production plots to support further engineering analysis;
• Identification of production & optimization potential
• Economic feasibility studies for operational enhancements
• Provide database support for production optimization and waterflood management
• Provide data gathering and stewardship support for the operating and capital budget
• Gather, input and analyze data for production/target tracking for existing production
• Preparation of properties progress reports
• Preparation of Operations input for property disposition packages
• Assist in the compilation of data for and submission of regulatory documents (DIR 13, abandonment’s, etc.)
• Opportunity to develop, grow and gain knowledge in all facets of engineering (reservoir, production and development) and geology

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Technical Diploma with 1-2 years of related experience or at least 6 years industry experience as a engineering Technician
• Exposure to oil and gas production operations
• Highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Computer proficiency is essential (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Accumap/GeoScout)
• Experience utilizing computer software such as Fieldview, Wellview, Oilfield Manager (OFM), Value Navigator (ValNav), and GeoGraphix is an asset
