Recent approvals for the construction of a new mining operation combined with advanced stage projects which are now moving into the development phase will soon result in this pioneering company operating 4 gold mines within the next two years.
As a result of this aggressive growth strategy the company is now looking to appoint an experienced Geology Manager to work within the Senior Management team based in[Location] .
Reporting to the Corporate Chief Geologist, you will be responsible for managing the mine geology function across all the Company’s new and exiting mines with key duties including:
· Ownership of geological models across all mining operations
· Manage Company resources & reserves for public reporting
· Implement geological procedures within new mine developments and optimize current operations.
· Undertake ore reserve estimations and act as Competent Person for JORC requirements.
· Lead by example in developing the national workforce
Although based in the Sydney office, the role will require regular travel to Asia to liaise with senior site management and ensure initiatives are rolled out and managed effectively.
To be considered for this exciting new senior appointment, you will display the following experience:
· Previous UG & OC experience at supervisory level
· Strong technical ability with structural geology and mine mapping
· Expertise in Surpac mine software
· Understanding of geostatistics for resource estimates
· Experience in ore reserve estimations
Previous experience in start-up or commissioning stage as well as previous overseas mining experience would be a distinct advantage.
