Our client is a unique industrial mineral mining, processing and marketing company located in a delightful rural area of Central Queensland. They produce a range of minerals including ilmetite, apatite, feldspar and titano-magnetite.
As a degree qualified metallurgist with a background in mineral sands, coal or metalliferous mining, you enjoy technical challenges and are ready to take on a full operational role.
There will be a number of technical and operational challenges including;
· Continuing to improve the quality of the products whilst managing a significant expansion of production
· Ensuring the training of production staff continues to improve skills for both existing and new employees
· Leading the safety of the operation and the workforce
· Through the management team effectively leading the overall operation of the 2 production plants, contract mining and haulage providers to ensure high quality output
· Continuing to examine methods of improving the mineral recovery
· Ensuring that a sense of urgency and commitment to on-time delivery becomes part of the culture of the workforce
