Our client is a [Location] based ASX listed mining company with offshore assets. As a result of its aggressive growth strategy they will have four operational gold mines by 2009.
They seek an experienced mine geologist to take on this corporate role with responsibility for maintaining a high professional standard of mine geology service across the Group.
Reporting to the Chief Geologist - Corporate Geology you will be responsible for the recruitment, technical management and mentoring of mine geology teams; for developing and implementing standard geological practices; for the resource estimates, and to represent the mine geologists in the corporate office.
Apart from tertiary qualifications in Geology, you will have had extensive operational experience in both open pit and underground gold mine geology, some of which will have been offshore from Australia. Extensive site travel will be required.
