Supervisor of Underground Mining Operation

Oldcastle Inc. is a conglomerate of key building product manufacturers and subsidiaries that provide a wide range of architectural, glass, masonry and concrete products including sand, aggregate materials, precast products, retaining walls, brick, block and hardscaping products.

Oldcastle Industrial Minerals, Inc., a subsidiary of Oldcastle Inc., has an immediate need for a SUPERVISOR for our mining operation in Thomasville, PA. The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• directing and monitoring a unionized workforce in the blasting, drilling and crushing functions of an underground limestone mine with the goal of optimizing product quality and productivity;
• ensuring compliance with environmental standards, MSHA requirements and federal, state, and local agency laws;
• following Oldcastle's safety program by promoting safe working practices, identifying conditions and exposures and accident reporting and investigation.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• BS in mining or civil engineering or related degree;
• Previous experience in mining industry with a preference for experience in underground mining;
• PA Mine Foreman's License or possess the ability to pass the exam for the Mine Foreman's License;
• General knowledge and/or experience with supervisory principles and practices
