Open Pit Geologist

A leading Australian gold mining and exploration company needs a talented Open Pit Geologists

to join their Kalgoorlie operations. You will fly in, fly out from Perth, working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster.

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, your core responsibilities will include:

·         Management of geological activities

·         Maintaining mine safety standards

·         Geological data collection and interpretation

·         Mapping, sampling, planning, logging, rig supervision, coordination of contractors, and safety compliance

·         Supervision of pit technicians

You must have a tertiary degree in Geology, and be experienced in geological mapping, and in the use of Surpac, or similar software packages.

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $70k - $90k + benefits. Salaries outside this range will be considered for people with exceptional skills.
