Graduate Geotechnical Engineer



  • The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking or contributing to a diversity of civil/geotechnical engineering projects, under the guidance of experienced professional engineers, with a focus on solid waste and geotechnical projects. 
  • The studies may include field data collection, field instrumentation and testing, data analyses, slope stability assessments, geotechnical analysis and earthworks designs.
  • The position will see the individual working across a wide range of sectors including mining, waste management and land development.

 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in geotechnical or civil engineering (Master’s degree preferred);
  • 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience working on solid waste and/or geotechnical engineering projects.  Individuals graduating in the spring of 2008 are also welcome to apply
  • Strong technical ability;
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);
  • Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment;and
  • Enjoys a combination of office and field activities.
