Kingland Group of Companies serves a wide range of
automotive and industrial customers throughout the NWT. Kingland encompasses
two Ford dealerships, Western Star and Sterling heavy
truck franchise, tank manufacturing and fabrication facility, automotive
body shop, Kal Tire franchise, Esso service station, Budget Rent a Car
facilities and service locations at BHP Billiton and Diavik Diamond Mines.
This is a permanent full time, rotational position at the
BHP Billiton Diamond Mine Site: BHP Billiton is located approximately 300
Kilometers northeast of Yellowknife, and is only accessible by
plane. Point of pick up will be various communities in the NWT for those
residing in the NWT.
- You will have at least 5
years mining experience, with a strong commitment to safety.
- You will communicate well
with others and have the ability to work in a team environment.
- You will have a strong work
ethic with a commitment to quality and able to work with minimal supervision.
Welders
will have the ability to or are experienced with:
- Flux core welding
- Gas cutting
- Air arc gouging
- Working from a blue print
- Following welding procedures
- Following safety policies & procedures
Welders
are required to repair & rebuild surface & underground mining equipment
such as:
- Excavator & loader booms
- Excavator & loader frames
- Haul trucks
- Haul truck boxes
- Buckets
- Dozer blades
- Track frames
- Re grouser tracks
- Drill masts & frames
- Drill tracks & track frames
- Ore
trailers
Other
requirements are:
- Performing field welding repairs
- Time sensitive scheduled Preventative Maintenance welding
repairs
- Time sensitive planned process plant shut down repairs
- Various fabrication welding as may be required.
