We are partnered with the worlds leading manufacturer of fine screening products.
The key markets catered to include Water and Waste Water, Industrial, Mining and Petrochemical.
Their clients are both local and international and are serviced out of their headquarters in[Location].
Due to increased sales an exciting position has arisen for an experienced Production Planner.
The primary objective of the role is to analyse and interpret engineering and production data for the preparation of Bills of Materials and Routings.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Plan and monitor all internal production process of new and existing products
· Liaise with suppliers/contractors and purchasing regarding external production process
· Create new part numbers.
· Create Bills of Materials and routing/planning sheets using knowledge of scheduling methods and manufacturing operating practices.
· Check times estimated by sales comply with time required by manufacturing
· Ensure production routings are on time to maintain production schedules
· Provide a cohesive group approach to project co-ordination.
· Ensure all relevant documentation and activity (drawings, design, quality documents, preliminary purchasing, freight requirements) is completed to meet the project priorities;
· Communicate special requirements or changes as they are determined;
· Provide complete project standard costing prior to the start of manufacturing;
· Ensure a complete package of information is compiled and submitted to manufacturing to allow the maximum manufacturing lead-time possible
You will preferably come from a trade background-Fitter & Turner or Boiler Maker, with a minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing/engineering environment in hands on or supervisor role.
You will understand the principles behind welding and cutting of stainless steel with a high knowledge of workshop processes.
You must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and experience in using BCPS or similar ERP computer system will be highly regarded.
