Mining Engineer - Operations Improvement

Our Client works with staff to identify opportunities, unlocking hidden values in companies.
They are currently seeking a Mining Engineer - Operations Improvement to join their team.
Working in their Operations Improvement area, you will be responsible for managing and carrying out projects that identify improvement opportunities and then working 'on the ground' to implement change.
This challenging job requires excellent familiarity with mining practice, an ability to identify opportunities and most importantly, the ability to turn opportunities into reality.
You will be working on interesting and diverse projects across Australia and the rest of the world.
The successful candidate will:
· Have a proven track record in mining operations improvement.
· Be a person who enjoys working in challenging environments where initiative is valued and who has a passion for understanding mining, mining systems and people.
· Be a qualified Mining Engineer with at least ten years experience.
· Be a strong, capable person who can ‘make things go right’, is self-starting, able to think and plan and has initiative.
· Well presented, neat and tidy.
· Have strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
· Be able to accommodate flexible working hours and tough project deadlines.
· Wants to broaden their knowledge and work with other highly skilled people in a structured, smoothly run business, where their contribution and skills will be both prized and acknowledged.
Qualifications required for this role:
· Degree in Mining Engineering
· Technical Skills
· Proficient in Talpac, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Preference will be given to those with iron ore and/or cement experience
