Mining Engineers

Our client a leading in the mining industry are looking Mining Engineers to join their team

• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering production planning support for mining operations through ITH drill layouts, development layouts, production blast letters, ground support designs, construction and service requirements
• Candidates applying for these positions must be a graduate of a recognized mining program at a technologist level or greater

SKILLS:

• Knowledge of mining methods and processes, blasting principles, ground support, ventilation, and backfill systems
• Knowledge of Manitoba Mine Regulation Workplace Safety and Health Act
• Computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Effective communication skills and the ability to function in a team environment
• 3-D Mine Planning software (desirable but not essential)
• Front line planning and scheduling
• Effective communication skills
• Effective time management
• Computer Skills Project organizational skills
• Experienced in the layout of production drilling and blasting
• Experienced in the layout of development plans
• Mine ventilation experience
• Rock mechanics/ground control experience
• Experience with developing and monitoring production schedules

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Community college diploma with 2-3 yrs experience OR Graduation from a mining engineering program or EIT
