Graduate Metallurgical Engineer

Our client has immediate requirements for a Graduate Metallurgical Engineer and a Chief Metallurgical Engineer.

Graduate Metallurgical Engineer

• Reporting to the Senior Metallurgical Engineer, you will work with the Metallurgical engineering team, which is responsible for plant optimization, including daily production and quality targets
• Further responsibilities include evaluating current plant performance, evaluating new technology, determining plant equipment requirements, justifying capital expenditures and monitoring a computerized plant information system
• You will also be required periodically to supervise and train BU Employees in performance of their duties.
• You have a degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university, with experience in plant operations an asset
• In addition to strong computer and communication skills, you have the ability to work with OSI Software and PLC Controls
• Knowledge of PLC Systems would be an asset, as would the ability to use Microsoft Office Products efficiently.
