We have two new positions within this large open-pit mining operation.
The company has a proven track record of providing staff with ongoing career development and career advancement opportunities, both within site & [Location] based roles.
The site operates on a 9:5 roster and will involve working as part of a small, focused mine geology team.
There are two positions currently available, both suited to geologists with some relevant industry experience:
Graduate Mine Geologist
· The role will require working within the open-pit mine and assisting with all aspects of daily grade-control.
· A strong focus on QA/QC will be required, in addition to a willingness to assist the Senior Mine Geologist with a broad range of associated duties.
· A salary range in the vicinity of $90K - $110K will be offered and some post-graduate experience would be a distinct advantage.
Mine/Project Geologist
· This position will require you to take responsibility for daily production duties, including the supervision of geology and pit-tech staff.
· You will report to a Senior Geologist but will be expected to work independently during some rosters.
As a result, you will need to offer a solid understanding with all aspects of open-pit mine geology, including experience with Surpac/Datamine. A salary range in the vicinity of $110K - $130K will be offered.
Both positions are available for immediate starts and will be most suited to those offering some previous iron ore experience.
