An Underground Production Geologist role is currently available with one of the largest Gold producers in Western Australia.
The Fly in, Fly out role from Perth, is on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with all flight time on company time to one of the company's Underground Mines based in the Goldfields of Western Australia. The position also includes an excellent salary and benefits package.
As part of this role you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring of activities necessary to optimise ore extraction. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, some of your responsibilities can include:
· Promotion of site safety policies
· Underground Grade Control
· Underground face mapping and sampling
· Liaison with the underground mining workforce
· Supervision of underground diamond drilling
· Liaison with other departments as required
· Diamond drill core logging.
As part of this role it would be beneficial to possess the following experience / qualifications:
· Geology degree
· One years underground mining experience
· Experience with Surpac software is desirable
