  • Under the direction of Production and Facilities Manager, the Mechanical Assembler fabricates mechanical parts to produce the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review work orders to plan the most efficient method of production to minimize changeovers and maximize raw materials. 
  • Assemble mechanical parts per work orders to produce the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company performance standards and customer specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Complete and verify product checklists for all completed orders.
  • Clean, paint and package finished goods to prepare for shipping.
  • Complete quality inspections for co-workers as required.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Post secondary training or apprenticeship in machine shop (welding/lathes/small tools) preferred
  • On the job compressed learning time is 6 - 12 months
