Welding Engineer

- Review of welding
documentation, e.g. weld procedures, weld procedure qualifications, welder
qualification records as required by the relevant discipline design engineer
- Involvement in the
development of project specifications for the welding and testing of equipment
and materials by vendors or sub-contractors
- Supporting the discipline
design engineers on any welding and metallurgical issues
- Review of Quality Plans for
vendors and sub-contractors
- Based in our Cheadle Hulme
Office, the successful candidate will visit vendors, sub-contractors and
construction sites where matters concerning welding and metallurgy require
advice or input.
- Qualifications Member of
the Welding Institute with a Degree or equivalent
- Personal Certification in
NDT Level 3 and /or Certification Scheme for Welding Personnel (CSWIP)
preferred
- Experience
A proven track record in a similar role
