Resource Geologist & Data Base Manager

An established mid-tier gold mining and exploration company has a position open for a Resource Geologist.  The role will report directly to the VP of Exploration and will have interaction with both the exploration and mining departments.

Requirements;

• Tertiary geology degree and >3 yrs experience in related role
• Day to day management of a currently valid data base
• Over site of QA/QC procedures
• Geologic modelling of gold deposits
• Participation in generation of exploration targets
• Familiarity with NI 43-101 reporting code.
• Management and training of a group of technical personnel
• Appreciation for deadlines and goals

Preferred;

• Understanding of mineral deposit models, resource estimation techniques, mining and metallurgy
• Prior experience with or exposure to modern data base management software packages and Access and/or SQL
• Experience with 3D modelling packages and MapInfo or other GIS/mapping software
• Exploration or mine geology background
• Over seas experience
• English/Spanish language skills
