Field Operations Support Manager

With strong project
management experience, your primary responsibility will be to manage the
logistic and technical start-up of multiple acquisition projects in the field,
including the mobilisation and demobilisation of the crew, liasing with the
client, company and crew on a regular basis.
- You will work mainly from
the UK office, and be expected to have 5-6
visits to field crews in the year, which would mean 8-14 weeks per year in the
field. Field pay and field allowances apply when in the field. In addition, you
will undertake site visits for prospective surveys.

Responsibilities: Reporting
to the Survey Operations Manager, your key tasks and responsibilities will
include:
- Manage, in the field, the logistics and technical
start-up of acquisition projects.
- Project manage the field acquisition projects including
the mobilisation, demobilisation of the crew and survey planning.
- Ensure that personnel have appropriate visa's,
documentation, and insurances and are aware of all HSE requirements etc.
- Produce accurate acquisition reporting to the client,
aircraft operator and company.
- Implement the company's safety management system for
the field crews including on-site safety audits.
- Produce survey acquisition reports.
- Undertake site visits to scout logistics for
prospective surveys.
- Develop good working relationships with third party
suppliers.
- Produce for the company sales team operational
considerations and survey drape surfaces for prospective surveys.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships
throughout the business, and in particular, liase with peers in similar
roles to gain benefits of common practices.
- Initiate and implement risk reduction and risk
management processes.
- Maintain communications with customers, vendors, and
suppliers who participate and contribute to the field operations.

Preferences: The successful
candidate will have:
- A degree preferred - preferably in Earth Science,
Geophysics or project management related subject.
- A minimum of 3 years field survey experience essential
- Airborne gravity/magnetic, seismic or EM with field
experience highly advantageous.
- Strong project management experience, managing
technical and logistical aspects (e.g. forecasting, scheduling,
resourcing, risk assessments ...) essential.
- Excellent co-ordination skills - with a strong
understanding of all aspects of crew mobilisation and de-mobilisation
essential.
- Understand and apply relative HSE requirements
essential.
- Excellent problem solving abilities essential.
- Some experience of survey design or survey planning
desirable.
- Good at multi tasking - can work under pressure to
exacting deadlines and time scales.
- Good report writing capabilities - attention to detail
essential.
- Service orientated - strive to achieve a high level of

- Team Player - must work effectively by actively

- Previous experience working in remote locations within
