Technical Director

Needed: Technical Director with experience in Metallurgy, specifically with Titanium, Nickel and other Super Alloys.

What you need to apply:

• 6+ years experience in a senior technical management position in Aerospace related manufacturing environment
• Metal forging and/or heat treatment experience
• Experience with Titanium, Nickel and other Super Alloys
• Aerospace Quality Systems and specifications of major aerospace primes, including NADCAP
• Six Sigma, TQM & Lean techniques

What you will be doing:

• Directing and integrating production process and technology
• Create and maintain efficient quality systems for all the production and operations facilities
• Authorize the determining of manufacturing route and process parameters for new parts, taking into account both the technical and business implications, in order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the process.
• Oversee the design of manufacture tooling required for the production of new products.
• Work with major customers and suppliers on cost reduction programs, participate in customer TQM programs like 6 sigma in order to provide the best service to all customers
• Review heat treatment parameters required for each material and product.
• Oversee that the furnaces are in good operational condition to avoid unplanned furnace shutdowns and non-conformances.
• Supervise the overall internal and external audit to ensure we have efficient process to pass quality audits (AS9100, NADCAP & Customers' Certification).
• Inspect the update of quality procedure; supervise quality system documentation in accordance with quality system, customer and internal requirements.
• Monitor the FAIRs, the issue of CoCs and release of products to certify that products we ship fulfill customer requirements.
