Senior Geotechnical Engineer

• The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Geotechnical team providing professional advice in the field of Geotechnics and ensuring efficient project delivery to internal and external clients
• You will be comfortable liaising with specialists from other disciplines including, civil and structural engineering, contaminated land scientists, architects, surveyors and project managers.
• You will be responsible for undertaking and managing day to day operations in the following key areas:
• Geotechnical and/or engineering geology work in the areas of: foundations; earthworks; retaining walls and site investigations;
• Review of Geotechnical and/or engineering geology reports and calculations;
• Preparation of project budgets and fee estimates
• Project delivery and financial analysis
• To assess and manage commercial and contractual risks
• Ideally, the successful candidate will have a degree in Civil engineering or Applied Geology discipline and be progressing towards Chartership
• A demonstrable knowledge of UK design codes, standards and specifications is sought and a proven track record in the delivery of geotechnical projects and reports to a high technical level
