Gain extensive experience in project management by working on projects from the conception to final implementation and commissioning, such as plant improvement, plant productivity, plant control systems and equipment commisioning projects.
Conduct investigative testwork on plant performance to improve plant operation and take on responsibility for managing capital and operating budgets to ensure production targets are met.
Provide relief for the superintendent when necessary and mentor and train junior metallurgists and supervise up to ten operating staff and metallurgists.
Bonuses based on production efficiencies will be offered as well as regular salary reviews and a clear career path to the role of lead metallurgist or production manger, overseeing the entire operation or heading a processing section, will be a sure future option.
