Project/ Construction Manager (Underground Mining)

Our Client and has a mine site, where a project to reopen the mine is underway.

The company require a hands-on engineer or technician to go to site, (as soon as possible), to project manage or administer the project.

• Primary functions would include coordinating the project and construction people on the site, monitoring and controlling costs with the assistance of the Admin Manager and monitoring the consultants carrying out a bankable feasibility study.
• Ideally the company is looking for a person with previous project/ mine construction experience
• A mine engineer may be suitable for a more permanent GM role, though this role would probably suit a previous Project Manager, site representative (Clerk of Works) or mine site construction site manager.
• A large part of the responsibilities of this person would involve liaison with the country’s government, and specifically the Dept. of Minerals and Mines, mainly for permitting, licensing and code approvals, assisting in bringing in materials and equipment, etc.
• This role would suit a projects person, perhaps engineer-type, (possibly a graduate, but definitely an engineering Technologist or someone with and Mine Managers/ Overseers Certificate), to represent the company - reporting to board of directors – you should be able to live in a harsh environment, even though living conditions would be of high standard.

This could be a temporary role for a person too. Salaries and conditions would be competitive and paid in any of the major currencies, even GB Pounds. The company's terms are offered all found, paid as gross remuneration with benefits (travel, FIFO , accommodation, food, PPE, etc.) included
