Environmental Project Manager

Southwest Geoscience is seeking an
environmental scientist/geologist/engineer to join our San Antonio office.
- Successful candidates must be
technically oriented, self-motivated and be able to perform tasks with minimal
supervision to meet project deadlines
- Responsibilities are expected to
include the management of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments as well
as the management of projects involving the assessment and remediation of soil
and groundwater in accordance with TCEQ Texas Risk Reduction Program guidance.
Specific tasks will include borehole logging, monitoring well installation,
soil and groundwater sampling, slug and pump testing, the analysis and
interpretation of laboratory data, report preparation and subcontractor
management.
- Minimum qualifications include a
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science
or equivalent and two years experience in the environmental consulting industry
- Must be well organized, eager to
learn, and willing to take on a wide variety of field and reporting tasks.
Strong data interpretation, report writing, communication and field skills a
must.
- Proficiency in basic computer
applications (Microsoft Word and Excel, MS Windows environment) is expected.
The position will require occasional
overnight travel within Texas and adjoining states.
