Job Description:

• A proven track record of working in design on large client focused international, multi discipline projects in the Minerals and Metals Industry with 15 years conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design experience gained in the design office of a major engineering company
• This experience should be accompanied by a first-class tertiary qualification and preferably Chartered/ Professional status.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the project engineering activities in the Ukraine and the on site company engineering team
• Engineering leadership promoting HSE in design
• Driving value improving initiatives in design
• Managing technical integrity and QA procedures in engineering
• Selecting and developing personnel resources in the field engineering group
• Managing the implementation of project engineering plan ensuring adherence to engineering procedures and specifications for the execution phase of the project
• Providing visible technical leadership for the project alliance management team on site
• Managing the design approval process with the client
• Driving engineering key performance indicators
• Manage scope and design change
• Ensuring that design is fit for purpose and engineering is performed accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Managing timely and informative progress measurement and forecasting in cooperation with the project controls manager
• Ensuring effective participation of the in-country Design Institutes (UDI) in the design process in conjunction with Design Institute (UDI) Engineering Manager.
• Demonstrate visible support and technical leadership for Ukrainian content goals and regulatory compliance responsibilities
• Ensuring, in cooperation with other project senior managers, that all components of the project are adequately resourced to do their jobs.

Any Special Requirements:

• Russian/Ukrainian/Slavic speaking is highly desirable.
• For work permit purposes, candidate cannot be older than 62
