This company is a small mining company with exciting interest in Australia and overseas. They have gold mine in WA and are currently looking for a Mill Manager to be responsible for Ore Processing which will include an in house staff of 30 as well as managing 2 external contractors.
The mine is a small operation and offers a the opportunity for a Senior Metallurgist or Mill Supervisor to take that next step into management and operations.
Your key department responsibilities would include to :
· Establish and maintain standards and policies for the Processing Department and any associated Contractors or other service providers
· Evaluate and recommend contractors and service providers for all aspects of processing to be contracted out (laboratory, tailings management, etc.)
· Support the cost effective achievement of monthly and annual production targets (mill throughput, gold and silver recovery, plant availability) in accordance with the project feasibility study, safety, environmental, operational and engineering standards.
· Ensure the department's long term targets are identified and achieved through planning, scheduling and strategy implementation. Contribute to the development of strategic and annual plans, monitor/evaluate performance and provide business analysis for the operation
· Optimise the metallurgical and environmental performance of the process plant through monitoring, testwork, procedural changes, process control and innovation. Encourage employees to investigate and trial new ideas, methods and technology, to ensure continuous improvement
