Deputy Engineering Manager

• Reporting to the Maruwai Coal Project s Engineering Manager and Project Manager, this exciting and challenging position will be responsible for providing technical input to all phases of the project pipeline for a number of projects during the development of Maruwai Coal and to ensure that designs are fit for purpose and meet the requirements
• Responsibilities include Coordinate the progression of design detail along the project pipeline to meet the level of confidence and cost accuracy and to provide technical input as well as advice for the Mine Development Managers.
• The ideal candidate for this role will have 12 years experience working in a Mining Mechanical or Mining Infrastructure related role within the mining industry
• History of managing design process for multi facet projects and an understanding of requirements for coal mine logistics system is an asset
• This position is based in Jakarta Indonesia and will involve travel to other project offices in East and Central Kalimantan on the island of Borneo
• The ability to make decisions under pressure, perseverance to achieve goals and innovation are all essential
• A high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills is critical as well as the ability to live and work in a challenging environment.
