Oceana Gold (New Zealand) Limited owns and operates the Globe Progress and Macraes Gold Mines on the South Island of New Zealand. Oceana Gold is New Zealand’s largest gold producer and has established a reputation for operational innovation and environmental responsibility.
Due to internal promotions we are seeking a highly motivated Process Operator with strong work and safety ethics.
Reporting to the Process Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various sections of the processing plant which includes grinding, flotation and dewatering.
Responsibilities include:
· The maintenance of a safe work environment
· Plant operation
· Collection of samples, taking measurements and recording data
· Preparation of reagents
· Upkeep of plant and equipment and assisting maintenance activities.
This position operates on a continuous roster basis working both day and night.
Suitable candidates would preferably have plant operation experience although this is not essential as training is provided. Successful applicants should be able to show initiative, be self motivated, team oriented and have a commitment to ongoing training and development.
