Our client, a mining giant with a number of operations Australia and overseas is currently seeking a Principal Metallurgist at one of their Eastern Australian operations.
This is a truly challenging position that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to use their positive management style along with their strong knowledge of flotation to get this processing plant operating at an optimum.

Your key responsibilities will include :
· Providing technical support to plant personnel in the Operations and Maintenance departments.
· Optimising Plant Performance.
· Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly plant performance reports.
· Meeting quality, production and maintenance targets.
· Maintaining the costs within the budget forecasts.
· Achieving a high level of safety and environmental standards.
To be considered for this position you must possess:
· A tertiary qualification in either metallurgy, chemical engineering or a related discipline.
· A strong background in Flotation and be able to apply your technical knowledge in this area
· Experience leading a team in a minerals processing environment
