This is an outstanding opportunity to step into an exciting "hands on" role with one of the largest mining companies in Australia. Residing in Central Queensland, you will be a vital member of the site's environmental team.
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor you will be responsible for development and implement of the site's environmental management system.
Your duties will include:
· Monitoring and auditing compliance with internal and external requirements
· Designing, implementing and monitoring of management programs that address environmental issues; including air emissions, water quality, waste levels and biodiversity
· Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements
· Continual improvement of key environmental metrics
Ideally you will possess:
· 2 or more years experience with environment management systems within the mining industry
· Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering/Science or Natural Resource Management
· Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and policies
Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $75K - $105K + benefits. Salaries outside this range will be considered for people with exceptional skills.
