As the Principal Environmental Scientist specialising within the mining sector your role will have three key aspects:
Processes
· Manage a team in EIS and other approval processes
· Compilation, editing and presenting of environmental documentation at international standards
· Delivering technical and advisory reports to clients
Operational
· Project delivery
· Provision of cost effective solutions to operational problems on site
· Provision of strategic advice and contribution to long-term operational goals
Commercial
· Establishing, maintaining key client relationships
· Developing client port-folio and business leads
This is an integral, strategic position and in order to be a success you will have extensive (minimum of 10 years) experience as an Environmental Scientist working within either a consultancy environment or with a major contractor.
Tertiary qualifications are essential
The ability to develop rapport and build trust will be imperative, as will advanced communication skills both verbal and written.
