Plant Metallurgist



·         Residential position on a 5/2 (Monday-Friday) roster
·         World-class mining organisation

Our client is one of the world's largest copper producing mining organisations. They are currently looking for a Plant Metallurgist to join the team in[Location].
 
The role is offered on a Residential basis and you will be required to work Monday to Friday.
 
[Location]is a large and fast-growing town in North Queensland and is attracting more and more staff to the are due to the excellent lifestyle and facilities it offers. [Location]boasts over 22 schools, a major hospital and a large number of other heath and wellbeing centres.
 
In additon to this with long daylight hours and the family-friendly roster, you will have plenty of time to take advantage of the array of bars, restaurants and an impressive number of sporting and leisure activities on offer.
 
The role offers a good circuit for floatation experience including Slag Floatation, Copper Floatation, Talc Prefloatation, Conventional Cells, Tank Cells - Wemco, Columns, Jamo's, Regrind and potential for a floatation circuit expansion in the next 12-24 months. In addition, a new Slag Floatation circuit is under construction and is to be commissioned in the coming few months.
 
The role encompasses operations support, projects (circuit mods) and continuous improvement (trials and process control etc) and there is lots of opportunity here for quick wins.
 
Our client offers an extensive and structured training system which covers simulation and modelling, statistics, radiation, mass balancing, leadership development and opportunity to visit and work at other sites acorss the business both domestic and international. You will also benefit from strong links to major research groups including CSIRO and AMIRA and excellent relationships with other sites in Australia and overseas. Our client is offering a package of $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience. There is opportunity to be assisted in relocation and housing, and our client employs a full time Settling In Coordinator to make sure that you and your family are able to adjust to your new home and town as quickly and happily as possible.
